Giving me some system specs might help out... What type of computer do you have, how much RAM is available on your system. Let me know all of this and I might be able to help...

hardware specs:
700mhz amd athlon
384mb ram
maudio delta 66
sblive
geforce2..

software:
sound forge5
acid pro3

all the hardware is running on the most recent drivers as is the music software..

and all of the companies released a patch for compatibilty with the release of xp.. so it should all work..

thanks for the response

I would try two things. First I would just reinstall the software. And if something got corrupted in the upgrade than this should fix it.

Another thing would be trying a memory manager. I know a good one offered for free, and I myself have been using it for awhile. You can find it at : http://www.analogx.com . The application is called MaxMem...

I am currently running Win2k, but I had upgraded WinME to WinXp beta earlier this summer on a different system. I didn't get any problems. I just thought about it, maybe you should check if your hard drive(s) are in DMA mode. Maybe during the upgrade Windows turned off the DMA's...

Try the above, if it doesn't work... Just reply and I will do some more check-ups...

Another thing, do you have the latest Sound Forge build. Check under downloads on this very site to see if you have the latest update for Sound Forge... That might be your problem right there!!!

thanks for the mem thing.. id been looking for a new one of these.. and as for updating the software.. i re-applied all the software updates and im still encountering the skipping during playback with remote recording..

would it possibly be a setting either in acid? soundforge? or perhaps the control panel?

thanks again for the assistance with this
