Hi, so can anyone tell me if i can divide a mix of mine into tracks with sound forge? I know i can do it with wavelab but i've already spent billions of dollars on audio editing, and i'm not trying to spend another 400 bucks. if i can't do it with sound forge, does anyone know a more inexpensive way of going about this? Thanks, Steve(veracity000@aol.com) |

If you are trying to take a mixed stereo file and split it back into its original multitrack elements, this cannot be done. Once a multitrack file is rendered as a stereo file you cannot go back. If you just want to load or record in multiple tracks and mix in real-time, you would need something like Vegas Audio. Ted |

Vegas Audio Lite is bundled with SF5, use that for multitrack mixing. You get eight (8) tracks, enough to get started. try your Vegas LE! |
