What is the Closest software to Acid Pro for handling audio and loops.

If sony is discontinuing acid, I want to start looking for another DAW

1.I want to be able to audition Loops and Samples in the Project tempo and Project Key.

2. Any thing that I audition, If i double click it will automatically create a track.

3. I want to be able to slice the loops/audio and offset them easy.

4. I want to be able to pitch the individual slices in the loop/audio track

In this video you can see how i use these Features, Thank You.

Cockos Reaper can do all that and alot more. It's very similar to Acid!

Yes, unfortunately ACID has been discontinued.
I have a download of REAPER, but haven't "pulled the trigger" on buying a license yet. So far, it actually does feel similar to ACID, but I haven't really put it through it's paces yet. It's easy to evaluate REAPER - you can download the fully functioning demo for FREE, which never really expires - but you will get a nag screen to buy the license. It's also very, very fairly priced!

I also acquired a copy of MIXCRAFT for a very competitive price recently, although I will say that neither program has really 'clicked' with me yet, and one of them (i'm not sure which yet because I'm often switching between them for comparison) is not freeing up resources once it is closed, giving me "low memory" errors in Vista 64, despite having 8GB of RAM.
