Hi

I look at my published videos and find:

"Samir: Revierübungen #1 in Santa Maria (GR)"

Your video may include the following copyrighted content:

Musical Composition administered by:
Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society

Now: there is NO music at all, just some voices and barking, all originally registered and belonging to me :-)

Does this Music Publishing Rights Collecting Society exist at all, and is it administering my dog?

OMG

Errare humanum (or "computerum" ? ) est, of course. And they are not unfriendly at all at youtube :-)

Errare computerum for sure.
YT uses some clever code to derive a digital signature for the soundtrack and then matches that to a database of known signatures for copyright music. As you can see it can throw out false positives.
Unless YT take action beyond notifying you, you can probably just ignore it.

Thanks Bob.
I was just confused, they notified me about something else before (also no action taken) and I was stunned, how fast and precisely they described the source. That time it was IODA the administrator

I had that happen to me once over original soundtrack music that I created using Sony Acid. I raised a challenge to their action and eventually they retracted the copytight violation warning.
