How to monitor one trk while rec. on another? -ACID Product Family

Subject:How to monitor one trk while rec. on another? Posted by: DWKsimi Date:3/18/2012 11:55:02 PM I have Sony Acid Music Studio 7 and have for years now but still can't get anything done with it. It is VERY hard to learn to use. One problem I have is how to listen to one track I recorded previously while recording on another new track? When I try to do that the second track contains the new material but also contains the first track! I want them separate, which I thought was the whole point of having separate tracks in the first place! I have spent the last couple years searching for a way to do this! Does anyone know how to keep the first track from recording with the second one while I monitor the first through headphones? Thanks, ~DWKsimi
