I am having this problem, but I have no idea how to fix it, and this: "Applies To: ACID(all versions), Vegas(all versions) Item #: 1111 Summary: When I record a new track, the rest of my project is also being recorded. Solution: Check the input settings on the sound card's software mixer to ensure that only the input you wish to record from is selected as the input device. Make sure that you do not have the sound card's wave output (often listed as "Wave" or "Wave Audio", on some cards "What U Hear" or "Mixed Output") selected as an input device. This problem can also occur when you are recording from a microphone and it is picking up the output of the computer's speakers during recording. If this is the case, turn down the speaker volume or use headphones instead. Author: Sonic Foundry" ...does not help. Any suggestions or tips would be nice. |

"What U Hear is What you get" changed to input device(s) and works like a charm. |

Is this option "What you hear" termed that way in other sound cards besides SB live? (You did not post your comps properties in original post). Is 'What you hear' available on all soundcards? The only soundcard I am familiar with is the SB Platinum. |

It is actually present with SB cards after Platinum as well (Audigy, Audiigy Ex, and some others...) |
