For the last few days I've been having an issue where Vegas will drop a take after I hit stop. I can watch it draw the waveform as I'm recording but as soon as I hit stop I get a flat line. I'm usually only recording one or two tracks at a time. I've started recording everything to two tracks because it usually only drops one or the other. All of my drivers are up to date. I'm on a fairly powerful quad i7 machine with plenty of RAM and fast hard drives. My MOTU drivers for my 2408mk3 are the latest. I've done experiments with Nuendo and Reaper and can't duplicate the issue there. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Buffer settings maybe. This happened on another of our machines about a year ago and we finally just wiped it and rebuilt it. I'm trying to avoid that.
