If you feel that the the event is too long for you, split it somewhere to get a small portion, work on that and then follow John's suggestion.

yes but Im using x noise (witch requires noise profiles to work) so it gets a bit tricky


prefer to do it in soundforge (which I just bought) and am pretty annoyed that 5-8 times out of 10 applying the effect in sf then saving I get a saving error. then I have to jump to vegas and back to sf to save it. major hassle especially since adobe soundbooth does not have that bug.

so i was hoping this feature would avoid having to use sf but looks like still clunky

i guess im not alone..and over 300 bucks poorer

yeah, bug does not happen when you 1st create subclip..unfortunately creating sub-clip in vo workflow is not ideal at all + defeats whole right-click > launch in editor purpose

so...the saving bug persists !

using Audion Demo now AFAICT no pen toll but uses pretty cool spectral tools do do similar things. Plus the UI, undo/redo seem MUCH more reliable.
