In previous versions of acid I could loop a section, press record and when I was finished the whole of the recording would appear on the timeline. Now it is divided into takes. Is there any way to get the old behaviour back? Thanks. Kit |

This probably changed when ACID adopted the Clip Pool paradigm. (Each time ACID makes a pass during loop playback it creates a new clip so it has to follow the new rule.) A way around this is to record without looping. Iacobus |

Thanks, but that is completely different. It means I can't jam to a section in the middle of a song. I have to paint out the track. Really annoying, especially when the clips are not editable. Kit |

I forgot to mention there's one other way to record: You can "punch-in" by clicking an event, arming the track to record and then record using the metronome count-off option. This will record precisely where the event is only; nothing before and nothing after. (Any audio recorded after that can be exposed by dragging the clip's right edge. The original event that was recorded over remains intact.) Probably not what you're looking for but just being thorough. |
