Subject:Sound Forge 8.0 and Waves 7 not showing?

I am using the last version 8.0d and Waves 5 all showed up fine..

Now I have Waves 7, I have pointed the VST plug ins folder to VST plug ins, Waveshells, and Waves folder and I don't get any of the newer v7 plug ins showing up at all in Sound forge?

Are they compatible?

What am I doing wrong? or do i have to roll back to my previous version 5 for these to work? :(

AFAIK Waves 7 should work with SF8, but it's possible that you need to update Sound Forge, since I think SF8 predates Waves 7 by several years.

I would suggest removing all VST paths from SF then rescanning after adding only the Waveshell folder within the Waves program files directory.

Ok thanks - I didn't want to go any higher as SF8 does me fine, and I thought that it could read all VST plug ins?

V5.0 Waves seems fine, but i'll have to re-install the folders to see if it sorts it out

Brand new fresh install of Windows XP and Sound Forge 8.0d

So only plug ins I installed was Waves 7.0, and put the folders of VST plugs ins / Waves and Waveshells folders in the SF VST Effects

They seem to scan but when finished, there's nothing in the List?

Odd?
