I can't record into Acid 2.0 without getting a Flanging sound in playback. I have a soundblaster platinum card with an updated driver. I have tried all the different recording properties such as disk based, loop, and one shot. I also have checked off the box of "make track a project tempo'. When I record the track and listen it in sound forge or in the properties window I not only hear the track I recorded but, but every other track in that project. The only thing that seems to work is to check off the "playback while recording box. That way my track is not blended with the other tracks, but it's pretty useless if you are trying to play along with the song. At my wits end, Steve |

I'm not sure if this'll help, but have you tried here? NOTE: Opens a new browser window. Note that unchecking the "Make new track..." option does not ensure a solution. You have to also play around with the transient detection too. HTH, Iacobus |

>> I have a soundblaster platinum card with an updated driver. ... The only thing that seems to work is to check off the "playback while recording box. Sounds like you have the SBLive set up to record not only the input from the line in (or mic) but also the playback. Go to the Windows Volume Control/Mixer and switch to the recording view. Maker sure that all you have checked is the source that you want to record from - Line in or Mic or any of the other options. You most likely have Wave checked or "What you hear is what you get". Also, unless you want the SBLive to monitor what is on your line in, go to the Playback control in the Windows Mixer and mute the line input. Peter |

On a side note: Typically this is happening because of the coinciding waveforms. I have run into this when trying to sequence two very similar or identical tracks on the same song. My sound engineer knows more... But also look out for this too. |
