The Pencil Edit tool only comes live at a sensible level of zoom. Otherwise all you could possibly do would be gross damage to a waveform. geoff Message last edited on2/26/2012 5:31:20 PM byGeoff_Wood. |

To elaborate on what Geoff and I previously stated, the Pencil tool maximum zoom ratio can be set via, Options> Preferences> Editing tab "Pencil tool maximum zoom ratio". But as Geoff stated, re-drawing the waveform zoomed out, would certainly do more harm than good. |

Thanks. The zooming worked. I've used it before and was always zoomed, but as I started anew with a new recording, for some reason I tried to initiate the pencil edit without zooming. Go figure. Thanks again. |

Back in the day it took me a few months to figure it out - why sometimes it was there and other times it wasn't ! geoff Message last edited on2/26/2012 8:27:32 PM byGeoff_Wood. |
