BCC 7 Crashing Vegas Pro 7 x64?

I'm having terrible problems with Vegas crashing randomly when I use BBC 7 plugins as a track effect. This happens regularly but I can't seem to pinpoint the problem because it happens randomly. I've switched off GPU rendering and I think that seems to help.

Vegas is also failing to open projects until I open and close it a few times. When it crashes it hangs and I have to shut it down using Task Manager. I use After Effects and haven't had any problems with that so I think Vegas is creating this problem rather than my PC. I never had this problem with Vegas Pro10.

I do have this problem with 10e too, had it with 10c, 10b, and so on... Maybe less often than V11 users with GPU. :)

IMHO: both BCC7 and Vegas OFX host have glitches that end in freezes or crashes. I've learnt to perform every OFX change followed by a project save. Here, Vegas zombie processes appeared with V8.

I failed finding the root cause of theses annoyances. It looks like some (*f)() error or overwrite which leads to random code execution.

Any time I faced issues opening projects (or including sub-projects) it was because of zombie processes.

I gave up using bcc7 because of this, many problems with Vegas.
Looks like the Vegas version is in beta forever, always giving problem and can never leave the program stable.
This discourages users.
I applied to be beta tester several times, but never gave an answer or satisfaction of the email sent.

Thanks for your replies. The outlook doesn't look good for BCC 7 does it? Strangely I haven't experienced this problem using Boris RED 5. In After Effects CS5 BCC 8 is rock solid. I'm going to try the new Vegas update to see if this helps. Maybe when BCC 8 is released for Vegas then it will work - but that means buying the upgrade.

I recall also having problems with other OFX plugins in Vegas Pro 11 so could that be causing the freezes?

I'm finding the latest Vegas update has solved alot of BCC 7 issues.

Not for me. Vegas Pro still crashing and freezing. Have to open task manager to close it. Completely hopeless.
