Hello everybody!I'm a new acid-user from Italy with a problem: using loops with a bpm slightly different from project (98 instead of 96 f.e.),causes trembling sound in loop like basses, sax, etc. Stretching the loop causes interrupted sound anyway,so I don' know what to do. Even with loops made by myself, generated from keyboards,at the same bpm, changes with the cutting of it! So,any tip? Thanks in advance and sorry for my bad english. Michele,Trieste,Italy.

My experience has been that stretching, changing BPM, etc. are all useful for previewing how your work might sound at a different tempo, but are no substitute for recording at the tempo you want the finished product to be. However, you might get better results doing everything as "one shots" as opposed to "disk based". This improved things alot for me but requires more system memory...

My opinion of Acid is that it's a mixed bag. They offer astounding features, many of which function marginally. It's still an incredibly useful tool though, you just have to understand that anything beyond recording/playing back at a set tempo and is probably best used for preview purposes.

It's very important that the tempo markers are placed at the correct places. This makes a big difference in the quality when stretching loops, especially when slowing down.
