Subject:"Temp disk full" error

I'm running SoundForge 5.0d under Windows 2000 Pro SP2 on a dual 1GHz PIII machine with 1G of RAM. OS & applications on one 5400RPM 20G drive, audio & video files live on a separate 7200RPM 60G drive. SoundForge, and Windows, temporary files are located on the fast 60G AV drive (which is defrag'd and has 30G of free space). FWIW, the 20G drive is defrag'd & has 8G of free space. Even though Soundforge agrees that there is plenty of free space on the capture drive, I'm getting "tempoary disk full" error messages about 6-7 minutes into each and every capture. I've done a complete uninstall (including manual registry scrub) & clean re-install; same problem. Any suggestions? |

Just noticed that the timer on the record window is running at about 1/6 speed (1 second clicks off on the counter for about every 6 actual seconds of time)..... Also, after hitting the disk full error, lotso stuff goes wacky in and outside of SoundForge - .wav files play back at greatly reduced speed, task bars go transparent, etc. Reboot consistantly corrects issues...... |

You might try increasing the total and preload buffer sizes in Options->Preferences->Wave. Otherwise, please contact SF tech support. |
