Does anyone have info to resolve crackle noise in recorded tracks under Acid Pro 3.0c + Audiophile 2496? The card works fine under Acid Pro 2.x. Playback of "non-crackled" tracks works fine... |

No external mixer (use dedicated preamp into card, therefore using the internal oscillator), i've tried all combo's of bit depths and sample rates, tried various buffer and latency settings, have latest build of Acid, latest Audiophile drivers... I even removed all other PCI cards, disabled all unused ports, reinstalled Win 98, and put the card on a reserved IRQ. Of course none of this worked, which is expected since it works for Acid 2.x... |

After further testing, I am also getting a "flange effect" on each recorded track. It gets proportionally worse with each additional playback track that is added. In otherwords it's fine recording with 1 playback track during record, it's noticeable with 5 playback tracks during record, it's extremely noticeable with 10 playback tracks during record. In my case the playback tracks are each "one shots" or "disk based", so I don't know if this may be the issue. I'll have to test how it does using all "loops" vs "disk based" or "one shots". I'll repost when I test it... |
