Been playing with a demo version of the Waves plug-ins. Ran a 24-bit file thru the L1 Ultramaximizer processor, specifying a 16-bit final word length. When processing finished the file attributes still said 24-bit - ran the Statistics function, and the sample values were 24-bit. It looks like WLR is working in real-time, when I use the preview function and specify 8-bit the output gets really noisy. Any suggestions? Thanks. Steve |

Hi, You need convert the file to 16 bits for optain a 16 bit file, with the waves plug you only write 0's on the last 8 bits (An applies dither), but if you don't change the bit deep, the file is a 24 bit. For change the bit deep you only need set the new bit deep in the right bottom of the main window (right clic on the 24 bit and change to 16) Bye |
