Subject:Resampling down to 16 bit

When resampling from 24 bit down to 16 bit to prepare to burn an audio
cd I know I need to dither to preserve the quality. But I'm not sure how
to implement it. Do I select the dither plug in and turn off real time and
select 16 bit, and when the dither process is done then resample down
to 16 bit?
