Subject:Using FX Plugins in Real Time

I understand that I can open a WAV file and use my FX Izotope plugins to edit and master my wav files but is there a way to edit the file in real time. For example is there a way to listen to the file play back and adjust it in real time so it changes as the file plays. It seems that I can only make a setting and then apply it to the entire file. I want to adjust the sound and settings while the file is playing back in real time is this possible ?

Use automation for that... at least the plugs that support it, Izotope plugs do.
