Subject:Voice peaks

I recorded vocals for my band and its like screamed vocals, so there are up and down patterns. For example, the vocalist for my band usually screams louder the last word of the phrase. So I wanted to put the peak down a little. What do I do? Normalize?

Yes, you could normalize, But... I would limit it first using the Wavehammer compressor or other plug-in. Use a high compression ratio of 8-1 or higher with a high threshold so it's not kicking in on the lowerlevel stuff.

Both of you need to learn how to properly use a compressor.
