Subject:Can I save ACID files so I don't have to search for the CDs.

1. How can I save my ACID projects, so I don't have to keep searching my CDs(ACID) for the samples.

2. Is there a way to save complete projects onto a CD?
I would like to save projects and take the CD to a recording studio for vocals and mastering.

To save all of your loops into one place, you have two options:

1) Save as an ACID.zip file (one of your options in Save As...). This puts all of the pieces of the project into one file, which also contains all of the project data that an .acd file contains.

2) Save as an ACID file and click the "Copy all media with project" checkbox in the Save As dialog box.

If you want to set up an ACID project so that it can be imported into a studio's multi-track app of choice (ie Vegas, Protools, Nuendo, whatever...) choose File -> Render As, and make sure that you've selected either .wav or .aif for a file format (.aif for Mac apps), and make sure that the "Save each track as a separate file" is checked.

To add to what Lance said, if you have a big enough hard drive, dedicate a portion of it and copy all your loop libraries to the hard drive.

Not only will you not have to yank out your CD's each time, but you'll also eliminate redundancy as well if you use certain loops over and over again since each project will reference the same loop on your hard drive. When you're all set to export and bring the project elsewhere, use the techniques Lance talked about.
