sharpen video, render template

I just started shooting with a HD camera. I shot at my son's concert. Very, very dim lighting with red lights. Can I try to sharpen it or would it be best to leave it alone for fear of artifacts or more grain? If sharpening is possible, what FX would be best to use? Also, I want to render it two ways, one for BluRay and the other for the internet to put on their band website. What render templates would be the best for those two applications? Thanks

You would need to upload a sample somewhere for anyone to be able to offer a valid opinion.

I just was wondering if using the Unsharp Mask or Sharpen was better with AVCHD video (1920x1080 60i) was better. I tried Sharpen so I will see how that looks once I get it rendered. I tried rendering to Sony BlueRay 1980x1080 60i 16mbps .avc and the audio to .ac3 but when selecting the .avc file I can't get it to play. I've only ever rendered to mpg2 (video and audio together) before so I don't know exactly how to render to anything else.

Just a frame grab would be a start.

In general though if it was shot in very low light and the video is not looking too healthy then any sharpening is likely to make the noise more prominant. That will not make it look better and may also add issues with encoding it which will further degrade the image quality.

I tried several different render templates with the following results:
1. MainConcept Internet HD 1080p worked okay but seems a bit blurry. I started with 60i AVCHD video so rendering to progressive seems strange but that's the only internet option available.
2. Sony AVCHD 1920x1080 60i was terrible. The audio was not synched to the video and the video was very jerky.
3. Video for Windows HD1080 60i YUV (.avi) also worked out okay but I think the video could have been better.
4. MainConcept BluRay 1920x1080 60i 25mbps vido stream included audio stream. The video rendered to .m2v and the aduio to .mpa but I can't get the video to play (Windows can't read the file).
5. Sony BluRay 1920x1080 60i 16mbps video stream (.avc) also received an error message that windows can't read it. I also rendered the audio to AC3.

So, options 1 and 3 worked but the video quality didn't seem that great. Option 2 was horrible with jerky video and out-of-sync audio. Options 4 and 5 I can't play and I don't know how to link the video and audio together when they are rendered as seperate files.

1. Any comments on the above results?
2. How do I get the .m2v and .avc files to play and include the audio?
