So where are the 3000 sample loops that are advertised on the software box? All the other music creation software I tried had a simple box in the user interface that listed the sample loops, usually categorized by style and I could easily drag and drop loops onto tracks. I don't see this with Sony's Acid Music Studio. The reason I purchased it was because it advertised 3000 sample loops! But I can't find them :( |

From our knowledge base: If you are running a program before ACID Pro 6 or ACID Music Studio 7, the loop files are located on the Loops disc that came along with the program disc. They'll be located in a folder called "Loops." If you are running a program after ACID Pro 7 or ACID Music Studio 8, the loop files are located on the same disc used to install ACID. They'll be located in a folder called "Loops." In all cases, you will need to insert the Loops disc every time you wish to use these files with ACID. That is why we highly suggest you copy the entire Loops folder from the CD and onto your hard drive. Keep in mind that you do not have to register the loops with us and they are not actually copied to your hard drive when you install the ACID program. If you chose to download your software and did not select the option to receive a content CD, you are able to download free loops from ACIDPlanet.com or new loop library samples from the Loops for ACID store page. SonyPCH, The webpage for Acid Studio 8 states: Pick your music Explore 3000 loops and 90 virtual instruments. "Download your free Sony Sound Series loop library." As with other posters I can't find the download for the Sound Series either. Thans, Steve |
