On two projects that I'm currently working on, when I open them and try to play them from the beggining My Computer tells me an "Exception has occurred" and frezzes up. What causes that. Also, sometimes during playback the tracks skip? Thanks for the info..

Sometimes that happens to me too. Recently, I had a project do that to me, though I couldn't figure out what went wrong. It was a brand new project made in ACID Pro 3.0c too.

It seemed that one track was giving grief, so I just deleted it, added it again and redrew and repainted the events. Played fine from there on. Weird, but remember this is Windows. ;o)

Let's also compare systems. Mine is:

Asus CUSL2-C motherboard (Intel 815E chipset)
PIII 800EB MHz
384 MB PC133 SDRAM
45 GB Maxtor UltraATA 100 hard drive
SB Live!
M-Audio Audiophile 2496
Yamaha 8824EZ 8x8x24 CD-RW drive
Creative 1241E 12x DVD-ROM

Been seriously thinking about ditching the Live! sometime soon (I don't use Soundfonts and haven't played any games of recent). It's also been awhile since I formatted, so I may do that as well.

It's also probably worth mentioning as well that the less you have installed in your system, the less problems you'll have.

Does it say VXD in there as well? If so jot down the funny numbers and look it up in Microsoft Knowledge base http://search.support.microsoft.com/kb/c.asp

Once you find out what IRQ it belongs to you can track it down by looking at the number in >settings>control panel>system>(double click)my computer.
