I have ACID Music Studio 8.0. I'm trying to double-record on a single MIDI track. But my second MIDI recording ends-up overwriting the first MIDI recording. I've searched far and wide, and to my surprise there doesn't appear to be MIDI-merge/overdub recording functionality, something that I previously considered to be the most basic functionality to be found in the simplest of software products that perform MIDI-sequencing. I may have made a mistake by purchasing this software. Please prove me wrong. Is it possible to record in a MIDI-merge/overdub mode in ACID Music Studio 8.0? Thanks in advance. -John |

There should be a button on the toolbar under the timeline that looks like a zipper. Click it to enable MIDI merge. Iacobus |

There's no such button and there's no mention of it in the help files. http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/musicstudio/gallery http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/images/ss/lg/musicstudio8_full.jpg Message last edited on12/24/2011 5:00:37 PM byJohnnyR. |

I think MIDI Merge this is one of the features that is present in the full-price version of Acid (Acid Pro) but not in the cheaper, cut-down version (Acid Studio). Mark |

My mistake; could have sworn it was in there though. |
