Subject:help! my project wont open!

i got acid 3.0 a week ago, installed it, and everything was working perfectly. Then i upgraded my computer to Windows 2000 (from Windows 98) and now when I try to open my files from acid 3.0 I get this error message : An error occured while loading the project file song.acd Error 0x80004002 (message missing)

when i load my projects from when I had acid music it works fine though.

help!

Another Acid user had the same problem as you. I checked his post (post no. 39), but he didn't get any feedback.
The filepath was obviously corrupted during install, but it's weird that the 2.0 doesn't get affected.
Send SF tech support an e-mail.

A couple suggestions that may help your problem.

1. Try rebooting your machine
2. Reinstall DirectX 8

Also make sure you get the DirectX for Win 2K, It's not the same as Win 98

Just letting you know-
We were able to reproduce the problem here.

Installing the 2k version of DirectX 8 will fix your problem.
