"An Exception has occurred" Message

Tis is the message I keep getting when I try to out-put to DV tape. Details has list of things that only computer engineer can understand.
Could some one please help. I can't figure-out what am I doing wrong.

There are several things that could result in receiving the An exception had occured error message. I would first ensure that you are using an OHCI IEEE 1394 compliant firewire card. Beyond that make sure that when you render the video you had selected to render as an NTSC DV .avi file. You can select the NTSC DV option from the drop down template menu located under render as. You may also want to ensure thatyou are loading the appropriate Microsoft drivers for the firewire card.
