i am asking this for an honest answer and am not looking for others to give smart remarks. as an insider on the development of acid pro, if you were a client or customer how would you feel about the treatment for acid pro users with the lack of info and development of the product?

Highway,

Last time you quoted a rep :
"What I got out of a rep at an event was yes there will be a pro 8, but will it be called pro 8 is the question. That all I wanted to know was some reassurance that they were actually working on it and I got it. Now for a date of release, no clue. "

If you would like to know more about development status, why don't give it a try and try to call them? 608.203.7620 (Mon-Friday / 9am-5pm CST ).

I'm sure that if you ask nicely, you'll get an aswer, or at least a quick update.

Keep us in the loop

your a grow man or woman, you can do it yourself. my question was for Peter. I shared info that was given to me from someone at a seminar. you can believe it or not. it doesn't matter to me.

It would indeed be nice to know, but if Peter was to give the sort of reply you are after here, he would probably no longer be working at SCS.

Or there is simply no reply to give (that's my vote on this).

For most things where the real answer may very well disappoint - it's much easier to simply say nothing and let time take it's course rather than to try to deal with the fallout of making any kind of "statement" (fact or otherwise).

Methinks - the silence on this is - in fact - exactly the answer you are looking for.

The strategy is based on the principle of "attrition". In this case, SCS simply ignores you long enough that you will finally wear down and just go away. Then when there's not enough customer base to justify continued development of Acid Pro, they can easily justify pulling the plug on it without much backlash. Cynical? You bet. But what other explanation (other than some fantasy and/or outright denial) could account this unbelievable lack of communication to Acid Pro's customers?

This sounds about right...much easier to pull the plug with just 8 people left....than trying to explain to an angry mob.
