I took the chopper demo file "break pattern c" wave and painted 4 measures in a track and then left 2 measures blank followed by 4 more measures....pretty straight forward so far, I then click on track fx and enable vibrato "untitled" is the preset and then hit play and it plays right thru measures 5 and 6..? what do i need to change in acid to use vibrato and not have it play measure 5 and 6...thanks for your help

Vibrato is a time variying effect. The reason you are hearing through measure 5-6 is most likely due to the vibrato patch you have selected that is time expanding the original material is some way.

Try playing around with the "Semitones" setting and setting the points on the graph closer to the horizontal line (which is the frequency I believe).
