I have the mpd18 and using acid 8.0, i can not get this mpd18 to work for the life of me i keep getting an error that says "The input device Akai MPD18 could not allocate memory" but if i unplug it from my system and boot up acid everything is fine no problems at all but as soon as i plug it in boom i get that error, i know my system can handle what it is asking for, i even did a reinstall of windows 7 thinking there might have been something wrong there but nope problem is still there. I have no idea on what to do next. system specs amd 955@3.8 8 gigs of ram 2 5770s 500 gig hd 2tb hd's diamond extreme sound 7.1 asrock 870 extreme |

Not sure what's going on there. Driver corruption maybe? Did you try uninstalling/reinstalling the drivers for the MPD18? Iacobus |

I have also tried that, atm i am talking to akai and they are telling me this. "Look into Midi Machine Control (MMC) in the help section of Acid" And also this "Master= the unit controlling the time. Slave= the unit fallowing the time the Master unit is putting out.<------- Is for something else i am having a problem with what i have done so far was use the drivers off the disc that came with the mpd18, and also got the newest driver off their website. The thing is though I can't use the editor for the mpd18 at all know matter how many times i install the driver ,but i got the mpd18 to work i just won't be able to use any presets or the NR config button for, swing, tempo, midi channel. |
