V11 64 bit and Nvidia drivers.

I'm using a GeForce GT 440 graphics card, up to now as Vegas did not utilize the GPU I had no real requirement for a top-end card.

I've been running the card with the 275.33 driver and have achieved good results with V11 rendering mxf and m2t video. I then updated to the 280.26 driver, V11 64 bit did not "recognise" my graphics anymore and I regressed to the 275.33 driver. With the latest release of V11 64 bit it also renders fine.

I've downloaded the latest Nvidia driver 285.62 but there seems to be varying opinions as to the effeciency of it.

I'd like to know what other V11 users experience is with it?

try the 285.38 nvidia beta drivers. Seem to maybe be better for somethings. I have two of the same machines here and one with a radeon card non gpu and it plays a clip with the starburst fx plug. Other machine with nvidia gtx560ti card running 285.62 or .38 drops frames down to 2.890. Weird.

I eventually did install the 285.62 drivers and V11 did pickup my graphics card correctly. Did a render test with it compared to a test I did with 275 driver. Results are the same so I'll keep it for the time being unless I experience problems.

With your system specs vegas 11 will render faster using CPU than using GPU. Save your money.

my render times on a 2hr 52 min project was

vegas 10 1hr 45 ish
vegas 11 CPU 1hr 55 ish
Vegas 11 GPU 3hrs 40

thats with a i7980x and a nvidia 580gtx 2gb dd5.
