Vegas 11.0 Build 424 - GPU update

cal79 wrote on 11/2/2011, 1:07 PM
Ok so we have the latest update of vegas Pro 11, Regarding GPU compatibility..

Sony's release notes: (Enabled GPU acceleration for NVIDIA GPUs with Compute Capability prior to 2.0 when using driver 285.62 or newer)

So i'm stuck with my £800 NVIDIA Quadro FX 3800 card and still no support, the newest driver availabile to me 276.14,This is so anoying, support a cheap £100 graphics card but don't support the expensive cards.. Is anyone going through the same frustration as me?

warning do not update if your having issues.

was having huge problems using 64bit version editing with 4 multiple tracks. had to revert back to cpu and turn off gpu rendering.

with this update the cpu only now does the same stuttering and play back issues, and slow render times.

way to go sony gpu rendering was slower than cpu so soloution make cpu as bad!!!!

i run a video editing company and have 3 systems with same results.

totally shocking and un usable software! beware!

Sony looks first at lower end graphic cards and that I also find ... vegas PRO or PRO ?
Anyway , they were quick with the older lower end graphics , so supppose also soon the older quadro FX will get some attention ( and I don' t expect too much since also in after effects the many cores many RAM blow the GPU away , so turn it off , even when supported in after effects )

Thanks for sharing your feedback everyone,

Hi Imo, how did you find that driver? is it officially supported? When I look for the latest drivers for my card that driver isn't listed, though I do see from your link that my card is indeed supported, i'll have to try it out now and see how I get on, fingers crossed
