Is it possible to shift the pitch on a recorded piece one whole tone (two semitones) without speeding up the tempo (12.2% as it says). |

Yep. It is fundamental, and fully described in the manual and help. geoff |

Manual, what's that? Just kidding of course. No simple explanation out there like hold down a key and drag the part (s) that were raised a pitch back out to the original length the recording was. Obviously I tried that and it just brought the pitch back to where it was but I didn't hold a key down since I really didn't know which key. I guess I'll look in the manual. |

It's way simple. Select the song on the timeline, then press the + key on the numeric keypad twice. |

That part I know but when doing that it changes the tempo (in order to change the pitch obviously) and I'm wondering if it's possible to change the pitch without changing the tempo. In this particular song the first two verses start in "A" and after the bridge I want to modulate up to start the third verse in "B" so I have hit the "+" symbol twice and it moves the key like I want it to but it shortens the song by 12.2% because it has sped the tempo up that much. I swear somewhere I've read about changing pitch without changing tempo but I don't know if it was in the ACID manual (which I have read very little of) or some other program I've read about. If anyone knows an easy how to do this in ACID I'd like to know. Thanks. |

Just registered and posted same query. Been frustrated for a week trying to do the same procedure. Can you please expand the explaination...walk us through the process. Whole song is done except for the vocals. |
