Newblue Audio Effects - where are they?

D7K wrote on 10/9/2011, 10:42 AM
Anyone found these:

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/images/ss/prod/moviestudiopp10_newblueaudiofx.jpg

I reinstalled the NewBlue plugins and only got the video. Anyone else looked for or found these?

Sound like very useful stuff, but where is it? I've look in forge and it's not there either.

The image above is from the Gallery for Studio 11 production suite.

1 - Do you have the correct version of SVMS?
2- In an audio file on the timeline, click on the event FX icon. Navigate to VST folder. They should be there.

I have SVMS HD 11 production suite build 247. No plugin's in the VST folder. Do you have them or anyone else here?

I reinstalled the NewBlue stuff today and still no VST audio plugin's from NB.

Hi.

Have you checked your ProgramFiles/VSTplugins folder and Options/Preferences/VST Effects? Any sign of them there?
D7K wrote on 10/9/2011, 5:38 PM
Yes, I've check and they are nowhere on any of my disks...

Open VMS11 like you normally would; once loaded there are 6 tabs laid out across below the two screen boxes, and just above the 'Text' track display file.

They are:
Project Media,
Explorer,
Transitions,
Video FX,
Media Generators,
Trimmer,

Your NewBlue effects are in the 'Transitions' and 'Video FX' tabs. Click on them!

I also have I have SVMS HD 11 production suite build 247. I also can find the NewBlue video FX and transitions, but I cannot find any NewBlue Audio FX. So, you are not alone.
D7K wrote on 10/10/2011, 2:11 AM
Thanks Barbult - it means I'm not going crazy:)

I rechecked and it looks like they should have been included in studio 10 from the jpg name.

But I found it under the Gallery for SVMS 11HD Platinum production suite

http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/moviestudiopp/gallery

I put in a request with tech support and will post their reply here. Its probably nothing that you can't do with current EQ's and stuff, but why's its listed if its not included?

80sGuy - I have all of the NewBlue video stuff, just not the referenced audio NewBlue plugin's.

I will say this is a great suite for producting industrial/web type videos.

Hi.

I'm on VMS HDPlat11 build 220. No trouble there and those FX are in Program Files (x86) / VSTPlugins / NewBlue.
Sykes wrote on 10/10/2011, 4:51 AM
Sorry, my bad.
Markk655 wrote on 10/10/2011, 7:29 AM
Does the OP see the other NewBlue plugins (transitions and video FX? Is it just the audio that 's missing?
D7K wrote on 10/10/2011, 10:27 AM
Mark:

Barbult and I have the transitions and the VideoFX, just not the audio plugins as showen on the SVMS production suite gallery page.

NewBlue audio products are installed as VSTs. Any audio plugins will be installed at:

c:\Program Files\Vstplugins

Then in Vegas you have to go to Opitons - Preferences, go to the VST tab, and then add the c:\Program Files\Vstplugins to the search list. (NOTE: it may be Program Files (x86) instead!)

Jetdv:

No such folder. Have done two re-installs. Searched all drives, no VST. I'm wondering if it was something that didn't make it into the program. Waiting to hear from tech support.

Hi.

Did you come across anything like NewBlueScrubbersMSPSSetup during your installation processes?
D7K wrote on 10/10/2011, 12:01 PM
No, the only similar thing I've seen is the NewBlueSonyVegasMSPPSSetup14.exe file on the DVD.

BTW I'm running Win7 32 bit sp 1.
Barbult wrote on 10/10/2011, 2:01 PM
I'm running Win 7 64 bit. I don't have a Vstplugins folder anywhere on my computer (I searched all drives). I guess we'll have to wait for an answer from tech support.

Hi.

It may just be that the gallery page is not correct. See this thread: http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/Forums/ShowMessage.asp?Forum=12&MessageID=765998

My own audioFX seem to come over from VMS10PPS.

edit: see later thread http://www.sonycreativesoftware.com/forums/ShowMessage.asp?Forum=12&MessageID=784148
Markk655 wrote on 10/10/2011, 6:20 PM
Yes, I remember the thread...I wasn't really looking into the audio plugins at that point. The audio ones were in V10 as well, if I recall.

The gallery is actually for VMS11, so I would expect the audio FX to be present as well.

I think you may need to give Sony a call or email to sort it out. They should be in VMS11 as well - see here . It states audio and video for NewBlue.
D7K wrote on 10/14/2011, 11:45 AM
I just made a change to my first support email directing them to this forum. I guess they must be swamped with support for the New Pro, hopefully I'll hear from them this week.

Any one here have a phone number I could call and talk to a manager in support?
D7K wrote on 10/15/2011, 1:43 PM
Until we get the answer, here a noise reduction solution. I watched a Bill Meyers Video and he commend this set of free VST plugins - they work very well.

http://www.kvraudio.com/get/860.html

I have no affiliation with them and had not heard of them until I watched Bill's video. Very useful stuff. Thanks to Bill and Kvraduio.

Hi.

D7K, I recently picked up some of those plugins also. In case you will not succeed in getting those NewBlue audio FX for your VMS HD 11 MSPPS, which I suspect might well turn out to be the case, you might consider getting the VMS HD 10 MSPPS.
The package does include among others the six audio scrubbers from NB. See the complete list in the VMS thread Are NewBlue FX on VMS 10 disc? A real bargain at the moment in Europe anyway.
D7K wrote on 10/25/2011, 3:02 PM
I talked to Liz at Sony today and she is checking into this. She said she would email me and I will post her response here.

How do you know they are newblue transitions? I'm not seeing anything either.
D7K wrote on 10/26/2011, 12:57 AM
its just the audio newblue that's missing. liz said she looked and could'nt find them. she calleed someone to find out if it was a marketing error or if it is a problem with the installer.
