Subject:slow starts and refresh in cd architect

HI - I have a new computer and have used sony sound forge and cd architect before and the program launched right away.. Lately the program takes a long time to start up and I dont know why.. no virues, no spyware.. everything normal its a new computer and I am not running any security thing.. but it takes a long time to start.. it just says ( scanning for cd devices ) .. also.. when I edit a track in trimmer.. how do I find the refresh button so that it appears in the folder.. the only way it appears is after I close the program and go back in .. cannot find the refresh button.. thanks
