No, that wasn't around in previous versions.

It's a nice titler, but unfortunately I don't see any way to keyframe the built-in animations. Let's say you are using the bouncing box and would like to have your text stay still for an extra second or two, well it seems that there are no settings for that, sad.

Somehow I wished they would of settled on one full featured titler.

Good find, and imho, an improvement. However, in playing with this feature, I think I've discovered a bug (or at least an annoyance). The resizing & positioning nodes seem to be presistant on the Vegas 11 preview, even when the timeline cursor is moved off the generated event.

Not to hijack this thread, I've created a new one: Vegas 11 - Text & Titler "Bug" or "Annoyance"

I tested this and can repeat is exactly as you describe. This is for sure no bug, neither would I call it an annoyance. I can fully understand that this feature is designed to work like this.

The positioning nodes stays there only as long as you have the generated (text) event's control window open. Close that window and the positioning rectangle is gone. The rectangle is there so that you can adjust the text position in relation to other stuff even outside the actual event - it comes in handy if you would like to sync the text position to be the same as some other text elsewhere on the timeline. I would call this a feature at least!!! Just close the control window and you are back to normal...

"Any idea as to why I can't change the font style or size? "

Yeah, I can answer that: You need to actually select the text before you can alter the font style or size. (This caught me too)
