I use Norton Cleansweep, part of Systemworks for keeping my PC tidy. You want to make sure you keep 1 1/3 times the file space you need AFTER the operating system space. Why so much? Because SF creates a temporary file for you to work on so you don't destroy your original, which rednroll are debating elsewhere on this forum. if you have a 30 minute file, you need more than twice that amount. It also depends on the bit depth and sampling rate you are using. If you are using 24-bit files you need two and-a-half times the space. Remember that Windows still needs spece to function properly.
