Rob, first of all, NewBlue Titler is definitely available in 64-bit. I've been testing in both 32-bit and 64-bit for a few months now. When installing, please make sure you choose both the 32-bit and 64-bit version. It does use OpenFX in Vegas Pro 11.

As for any crashes, it would be helpful if you started a help ticket on NewBlueFX.com and listed your system specs. There are some issues with the Intel built-in video cards but, otherwise, it's working great on all of our systems.

NEVERMIND - Like an Idiot I didnt install the New Blue Titler software first.

However it showed up in Vegas 32bit as an option BEFORE I installed the New Blue titler so I thought it intalled along with Vegas but it just had nothing to point to when selected until I separately installed the software.

Yes, it is a separate install. Glad to hear you got everything worked out.

Interestingly what I had apparently was a trial version of a prior New Blue Titler install. Eventually I could not open Vegas 11 32bit at all it woudl just crash UNTILL I uninstalled the original New Blue Titler (not the new pro version). When I uninstalled the old New Blue version Vegas 11 32bit opened fine.

If you have the beta that we posted here many months ago installed (was the beta for the version included in Vegas Movie Studio 11), that should definitely be uninstalled before installing this new version for Vegas Pro 11.

jetdv,

Does the NB Titler allow for 3 machine installations like the Vegas licensing?

Edward, I'm interested in learning how the New Blue Titler Pro differs from the standard titler and protype, but I don't have time to install the v11 trial at the moment. Is there a comparison sheet, or documentation for New Blue's titler I can look at?

/jerry

I don't know of a comparison sheet anywhere but I can tell you that it's totally different! I'll see if I can get some more information that can be posted here.

There is a nice video on the Vegas 11 page which takes you through the features of the new Blue titler. It's impressive.

Where is the download for New Blue Titler? Did they pull it for crashing reasons or am I just missing it's download page?

Do you know if it will run with the trial version of VP11?
Thanks,
Randy

"please make sure you choose both the 32-bit and 64-bit version."

I didn't see a choice on the New Blue download Vegas 11 page?

If I remember correctly it installed in the x86 folder.

Well on my side Newblue Tilter does crash.

When I select the default template from the media generator, all is fine. I can add a second instance of Newblue Titler side by side on the timeline.

But if I select an item from the Newblue Titler library onto my first instance and then add a default template from the media generator tab and slide it to the timeline beside my first instance of Newblue Titler, Vegas crashes. Did it 6 times and it always crashed.

Wanted to file a ticket but Newblue Titler isn't listed in their drop-down list of products.

Rob

My New Blue Titler tells me it can't work due to low GPU capabilities, so what with this and the other V11 features, looks like a new Graphics card is going to be necessary.

Now, the NVidia model mentioned in Sony's comparison page, the GTX570 costs $507 locally, which is way too much. I gather from other posts that many other "lesser" cards will do the job, but is there a definitive list somewhere so I can find one that is ok for capability and cost?

Thanks.

There is only one download. When you install you have the option of installing one or both versions.

since installing new blue, i get a message saying that my graphics adapter is not running the latest driver when i start vegas 11.

problem is, i have a 2-year-old vaio laptop, already discontinued, no further drivers available from sony, and when i dl the geforce 310m driver from nvidia, it tells me that it will not run with my hardware.

btw: the 310m is on the cuda list.

Peter, when you run the installer you are given the option to choose the 32-bit version of Vegas, the 64-bit version of Vegas, or both. The titler will run in both versions.

Randy, while it would run fine in the trial version of Vegas Pro 11, you must have the serial number you receive when you purchase Vegas Pro 11 in order to run the installer.

Edward, how can I file a support ticket over at Newblue, NB Tilter is not listed on the product drop down list.

I get repeatable crashes everytime I drop a default NB Titler from media generator pane onto the timeline after working on a previous NB Titler event.

Thanks,

Rob

So there is no trial of the titler to check it out while running the Vegas 11 trial?

What does this mean? Are we allowed to install Vegas 11 and the New Blue Titler on 3 machines as long as only one is being used at any one time? Thanks,

Kit
