Please somebody help me.

I so desperately need to take some sounds from the keyboard on S.F but cannot because when the recording window is open, anything outside it cannot be touched.

I am a newcomer to Sound forge and i know some of you out there are Soundforge know it alls.

Teach me.

Thanx

I am sorry but I don't understand the question. Are you asking how you can record from a midi keyboard in Sound Forge?

You cannot record from the MIDI keyboard in Sound Forge. The keyboard is there primarily for testing purposes.

Why you would want to do something like this I won't ask. The way it could be done is to run 2 seperate audio programs. Most of us here that have been using Sound Forge for awhile are fortunate enough to have 2 versions of Sound Forge installed on our systems. It's not our preference, but if we want to use CD Architect we have to leave our 4.5 version installed on our system and if we want 24 bit audio we then open up version 5.0.......it's a very elegant way of working (wink wink....thanks Sonic Foundry).

Anyways you then could open up v4.5 and v5.0 simultaneously. You will now have to plug the output of your sound card into the input. You now hit record in v4.5 and then minimize that and goto v5.0 and play the keyboard.
