I wasn't sure into which forum I should post this, so I apologize for the repeat! -Thunderbroom Like many/most of you, I have a relatively large audio sample library. As I did not think ahead, my samples are poorly organized, though they are all in one place on one drive. I've looked at some software solutions (I have an Acer i5 Aspire, Windows 7, 64 bit) but not sure which to choose. Specifically, I've looked at ifoundasound, ryaudio's Sample Manager (trial version crashed several times as it is not 64 bit supported), and one that will be out at the end of October, Breezer by Revel Software. I've also been recommended a few really pricey options (Net-Mark, Basehead, etc.) but since I am not a professional, those are out of the question. So...if you were in my shoes, what direction would you take? Should I select a piece of decent software? Should I go through all 40 gig or so of samples and retag each sample, and set up a filing system from scratch? I'm a bit of a newbie to electronic music, so I came into sampling out of necessity, but stayed in it via a developing passion. Thanks in advance for any advice you may offer! |
