Subject:mp3 songs in SF 45e make weird noises

Can anyone tell me why it is that when I open CERTAIN mp3 songs in SF 45e, some of their beats make weird noises almost like they are really low quality even though they are 128kbps? however, if i play them in winamp or burn to a cd, they sound fine. also, if i decode them to wav & then open them in SF 45e, they sound ok then, too. Again, only some songs with certain types of beats do this. A good example is Missy Elliott's "Get Your Freak On". That one sounds horrible when opened in mp3 format, but fine when opened in wav format.

Thanks

Hi linkmaster,

Not sure about this one. I would guess that the mp3 compression is messing with the high audio frequencies in that tune, but if if plays fine through WinAmp, then that's a bit strange.

Best,
Scott
