I have a problem I can't seem to figure out. Im using Acid 3.0, recording, using samples, all is going well, I'm toggling back and forth between volume slider, pan envelope, and fx envelopes, you know the little bar under the slider. I shut down Acid and when I reopened it my little box is gone, never to be seen again. I can only adjust volume now, I can't pan my sounds or use an assignable effect. Anyone ever see this before,'cause it's got me baffled?

You referring to the multipurpose fader? Try resizing a particular track to a larger size. You should then see the volume fader go into "Multipurpose fader mode."

I have had the track maximized to it's fullest and the multi-purpose toggle bar is still not there. I've also tried changing color depth, and color schemes thinking along those lines too, but to no avail. Any other ideas....Anyone!!!

Is the particular track maximized both vertically *and* horizontally? Did you try resizing the track's height and width manually?

Send me a screenshot if you can. Address is here.

Just checking-
Do you only see the word "Volume" next to the fader or do you only see the fader?
Do you still have the down arrow next to the text (assuming you have text)?
Is the box on hover-over what is missing?

If you don't see the text, the problem is most likely a zooming problem- either vertically or horizontally. If the text is ther but the box is missing then the problem is elsewhere.

Another thing you might thing about trying is to select Uninstall ACID PRO 3.0 from your start menu. This will launch the maintainance wizard.
-Click next on first screen.
The second screen should give you a choice of Repair or Remove.
-Select Repair.

If anything was damaged in the program for some reason- this should repair it.

Try reopening and see if the problem is still there.

Hope that helps. Please post back on how it goes.
Thanks.
Jenn

Mike-

Wow, I've never seen that one before. What build number are you using? Normally, the multipurpose box is to the left of the fader, and highlights when the pointer cursor is over it, then a standard left-click will bring up the fader choices in the drop-down list.

That's really an anomaly. If you're not against it, I'd say uninstalling and reinstalling might fix it, or even just choosing Repair from the uninstall dialog.

Let us know if that fixes it.

HTH,
Joel
