HP Pavilion Elite HPE-180t W7HP-64 i7 950 3.06GHz 2TB SATA 9GB DVDRW(LS) 1GB NIC WLAN 5-in-1 Rmkt PC

Haven't been writing music (using AP7) for over a year now. I have intentions to take the PC I'm using (about 5yo) and going to swap for internet purposes and possibly buy the above.

Would like to know if you see anything in the description that is cause for concern. Thanks.

Hi withagee, I did a searce on the web for "HP Pavilion Elite HPE-180" and http://h20000.www2.hp.com shows the your computer ships with Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio, the bad news is this is not a real X-Fi card, it uses a chip-set that's similar to the Audigy 2 SE chipset, the Audigy 2 SE chipset was released about 10 years ago!! There are some very unhappy customers over this card ---- http://us.store.creative.com/Creative-Sound-Blaster-XFi-Xtreme-Audio/M/B000IZC0GO.htm ----. I hope that helps.
