I am not a pro, so I can't afford big bucks. (I think older version should price less.) Of course I can search warez, but I feel sick about it. Please help me. Thanks.

First contact Sonic foundry or look at the main page in the online sales area and see if it's still posted. If not, plan B, search on the net for places like Best Buy and see if they still have it listed. I'm not going to get into the grey area of warez, but I think having a legit copy is your best bet. First, it's the right thing to do, second you get killer tech support if you have questions and nothing would be more embarassing than calling up tech support and not being able to give them the reg# because your copy is a bootleg. Even take it one step further and I'm not sure who you can ask on this, and please forgive me if I'm walking on taboo territory, but if Sonic has infact discontiued 4.5, maybe you could try to buy it from another artist(I didn't just say that did I) But I agree man 4.5 in my book is where it's at. You might think that you're getting a great deal, but in my experience most of our software that is sold via eBay is either already registered, a burned CD copy with a bogus serial number, or without a serial number altogether. I saw SF 5.0 at Best Buy for $130.00. You can't ask for much cheaper then that.
However, I prefer the 4.5 over the 5.0. But the 5.0 comes with all those great plug-ins.
