When I add, control Q, or delete a track, this very unwanted 'windows help and support' page pops up. Its driving me insane, any ideas? http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/dd455/runmaniac/Acidissue-helppage.jpg It has also occured upon other actions, but because I was in the middle of doing things, I didn't notice what action caused it. But definately the add and or delete track does it. |

I have realised the window only starts popping up after I have inserted 'Express FX reverb or just Sony reverb'. I turned off online help, but cannot turn off offline help, so problem persists. I use reverb on nearly everything, so a fix of some kind would greatly appreciated. Message last edited on9/25/2011 2:43:32 AM byrunman. |

Hi Runman, I've taken a look at that image file via photobucket. It seems to me you do not have the "old school" WinHlp32.exe. If you have older programs that use the older version of WinHlp32.exe, the help file will not open in Windows 7. Download Winhlp32.exe here Hopefully this will help you. This is what I was going to suggest - as Windows 7 was not available when Acid 7 was released and Win 7 was never ever fully supported properly anyway. Sure it would run - but quirky stuff like this was never addressed. Having said that - I have never had this probably running Acid 7 on my Windows 7 DAW...maybe I got lucky and some other program put WinHlp32 in place for me :) VP Message last edited on9/29/2011 12:40:03 PM byVocalpoint. |
