Best Renderring Algorithm for WD TV Live

I shot the RAW footage using an HV30 @ 1440X1080.

I've tried two algorithms for renderring :
1) Main Concept mp4 @ 1920 X1080 to fill my big screen TV-VBR 50,000,000 X 40,000,000 avg.
2) Sony AVC @ 1920 X1080 -VBR @ MAX 16,000,000

The picture is quite good but I still notice "stair stepping" and "ant crawl" on still photos that are panned and zoomed. Even with Reduce Interlace Flicker ON. The video is also quite good but there does seem to be a bit of resolution loss (which may be more a factor of the camera....as soon as the light is even slightly less than optimal....the HV30 starts to really drop off)

Is there a better quality option ? What is the best option ?

What you are seeing is probably the deinterlace characteristics of your screen, not anything caused by Vegas in itself.

HDV plays just fine on the WDTV Live, assuming a good network connection.
So the "best" format is the original, smart-rendered in Vegas.
(Mainconcept at 40Mbs ABR is overkill, bigtime).

There are two that I use on my WDTV:

.m2ts and .mkv
