If a VST's being stubborn even after proper uninstallation, try closing ACID and go to (in Vista; pretty sure it's similar in Windows 7):

C:\ > Users > <username> > AppData > Local > Sony > ACID Pro > 7.0

Delete the "acidpro.plugincache.xml" file. Restart ACID Pro. This will rebuild your VSTs. (You'll have to re-add any folders you customized and pointed ACID to as well.)

Odd. Does the accociated VSTi's DLL still exist in any of the folders that you have ACID pointing to?

I can see when Acid is loading when it flashes all the things that it is loading before it actually opens to your project and time line.I would like to get it completely out of Acid but I'm not fluent enough with windows 7 to dig and get it all the way out.Marc.

Same way as Windows Vista or XP.

Find where the file is (will be in one of the VST folders listed in the VST directory search location specified in Options | Preferences).

Delete the SampleTank.dll (or whatever it is called). This should have happen when you uninstalled SampleTank.
