While recording in Acid what would cause the signal to drop out for a split second. I am running my guitar processor right in to the sound card. Bypass the noise gate I dont know I will be singing over loops I created and things will be going Ok then all the sudden the recording meters freeze up for a split second. Then on playback sure enough the point where I saw the meters freeze is where the sample sounds like it fell off and it sounds all jacked up what could be causing this.

Thanks,

Mike

Could be something in the background grabbing the processor periodically, or an issue with drivers. Suggest updating ACID, updating drivers for video and sound cards and closing background apps before opening ACID.

Sound , card and video card drivers are good ideas. Also look at where you are recording does the screen have to redraw itself at that point , as in the cursor has to move the screen over. I had that problem you're talking about and found that if I shrunk the screen down the glitch went away.
