now my problem is this :
a) when choosing different audio channels for the tracks eg: track 1=SW1000 out 1
track 2=AW8 OUT 1
track 3=AW8 OUT 2
when playing this back the audio is not in sinc.why?
do u know why this is?

Because there is no way to synchronously start the SW1000 and the AW8 at the same time. Each card has its own drivers that are independent of each other. There is no mechanism to tell all the ports to start at exactly the same time. ACID tells each "port" to start playback. The SW1000 starts first. Since it knows nothing about the AW8, it just starts streaming audio. ACID then tells the AW8 to start playing. The driver for the AW8 is smart enough to know that ACID is using both port 1 and 2 and starts these two port in sync. By the time the AW8 starts, the SW1000 is already playing audio therefore they are out of sync.

Additionally unless they had a common digital clock, they eventually drift apart from each other.

You have to stick to using one or the other.
