I have a 77 minute wave file. Can I use marker to split the .wav into tracks to burn onto a Cd from soundforge 5.0. If not how could I do something like this? |

No, you can't do this with Sound Forge 5.0. This has been answered in old posts on this forum...sorry I don't know the exact number. Short answer, you can do this in Sound Forge 4.5 with CD Architect installed and Nero by Ahead software also has this capability. Visit WWW.NERO.COM |

Sound Forge 5.0 does not allow you to place track markers like you could in CD Architect, but here are instructions on how to cut a long recording into smaller files. Open the file and place a marker at the beginning and the end of the file. You can place a marker by hitting the "M" key on your keyboard. Then place a marker at the beginning of each track. Click Special->Region Lists->Markers to Regions. Click Tools->Extract Regions. You can specify which folder you want the files to be saved to. By default the files names will be "The name of the original file and then the region" You will then have a number of smaller files that you can load back into Sound Forge to burn, or use another application. -j |
